What people ask us
Can I get rid of ants, spiders or mice myself?
Store-bought sprays and traps can help with a few ants or a lone spider. They often fall short when the source is hidden. Mice in walls, termites in wood, and bed bugs in bedding usually need a trained provider. If your fix has not worked after a week or two, ask a local provider in our network.
When is a do-it-yourself fix not enough for termites?
Termites work out of sight, so store-bought products rarely reach the whole colony. Warning signs include mud tubes on foundation walls, soft or hollow-sounding wood, and discarded wings near windows. If you spot any of these, skip the guesswork. A local provider can inspect your frame walls, crawl spaces and basement, then explain the options in writing before anything starts.
Does homeowners insurance cover pest or wildlife damage?
It depends on your policy. Some policies may cover sudden damage, but many exclude harm that builds slowly, like termite damage. Check your policy or ask your agent before you plan around it. Providers can often help document damage for a claim with photos and notes. Remainingmarried Pest Control is not an insurer and cannot say what your policy covers.
How soon can a provider come out?
Many providers can respond quickly, but timing depends on the provider, the season, and your schedule. Spring storms and warm spells can keep local providers busy. Request a callback to check provider availability, or send the request form. Availability varies, so Remainingmarried Pest Control cannot promise a set time.
What are the early signs of a pest problem?
Look for droppings, gnaw marks, and small holes in boxes or insulation. Listen for scratching in walls at night. Watch for ant trails, new webs, and tiny dark spots on mattress seams. Spot it early. A small sign in the garage or basement often means more behind the wall.
What should I expect during the first visit?
A provider will usually look over the inside and outside of your home. Expect questions about what you have seen and when. Then the provider should explain what was found, what treatment makes sense, and what it costs. Ask for the plan in writing. You can say no to any plan.
Does Remainingmarried Pest Control do the treatment itself?
No. Remainingmarried Pest Control is a referral service. We ask a few plain questions and connect you with an independent local provider in our network. The provider does the work, sets the price, and handles scheduling. Our role is to make the first step simple and clear, and we never push you to hire anyone.
How much does pest control or wildlife removal cost?
Costs vary by job, home size, and pest. As a rough U.S. guide, a general pest visit often runs about $100 to $300. Termite treatment can range from several hundred to a few thousand dollars. Wildlife removal and bed bug treatment can run higher. Always ask for a written quote before work begins.
